About Chris Corbet

I was born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia back then) and after a spell working as a surveyor on the gold mines of the Witwatersrand I moved to Cape Town in the 80’s where I met my beautiful wife and started a family. In 1999 the internet became a focus and life steered in the direction of digital marketing, soon afterwards my SEO agency, Synergize Digital was born. The company was acquired by the Publicis Groupe in late 2013 and merged with Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa to become their digital arm. These days we live in the quiet village of Great Brakriver at the start of the Garden Route from where we work and travel. The internet makes it possible to live and work in an awesome environment and when the need arises to visit the big smoke, George Airport is a 15 minute drive from my house, putting the world within easy reach.

Professionally, I’m the owner of Eezy Digital Solutions, a digital marketing consulting company that provides marketing strategy and solutions to business of all sizes in the travel and tourism industry. Eezy Digital acts as a marketing partner to tourism business owners, representing and assisting them in their relationship with online service providers.

We also own and run a number of luxury self catering apartments in the Garden Route through our online portal Garden Route Stays.

My great love is to travel, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had opportunity to do my share, I occasionally write about our travel experiences on my blog A Travel Junkie for any who are interested. I’m also passionate about fresh water fishing for Bass, on most summer weekends I will be found out on the water of our local lakes pitting my whits against that wily fish. A camera or GoPro are seldom far from hand, for those who are interested in such matters, I use Canon cameras (currently a 7D), also GoPro and my trusty iPhone. Computer is a Macbook Pro or iPad with either Photoshop Elements or iPhoto for photo editing.
